A partnership that started back in 1967 Elton John and Bernie Taupin have collaborated on more than 30 albums to date.

He has been heavily involved in the fight against AIDS since the late 1980's. In 1992 he established the Elton John AIDS Foundation. The foundation has raised over $200 million. Music-wise it was Elton John's second single that opened the door for him in the U.S. the single "Your Song" reached #7 in the U.K. and #8 in the U.S.,becoming his first hit single. His first American concert took place at the Troubadour in Los Angeles in August 1970. Elton also formed his own label named the Rocket Record Company, but instead of releasing his own records on Rocket, he opted for $8 million offered by MCA.When the contract was
