At the Movies: Fate of the Furious, Power Rangers Smurfs

The long awaited Avengers in theaters now but in it’s opening weekend failed to know out the picture that’s Number 1 at the Box Office, Disney’s Beauty and The Beast. The beast easily retained the Top slot with a take of $88.3 Million to Power Rangers take of only $40.5 Million.
   Even though critics reviews for Power Rangers were Luke warm most viewers exiting the theaters age the movie an “A”. Not surprising since it was targeted on people who were big on The Power Rangers Brand and it’s Nostalgia.
   The story plot, by John Gatins, starts with a flamboyant subtitled alien-language introducing you to the ancient clash between Zordon, the benevolent leader of the Power Rangers, and Rita Repulsa, an evil enchantress bent on Earth’s destruction. Flash forward to the present-day fishing town of Angel Grove, where a new generation of Rangers is about to rise up.
   So are you ready? Because it’s “morphine time!
   With mid April comes The Fate of The Fast and The Furious.
   The latest installment of the Fast and the Furious franchise welcomes two Oscar-winning actresses: Charlize Theron plays Cipher, the latest villain to torment Dominic Toretto and his crew.
Helen Mirren joins the cast after publicly lobbying for a role to sate her real-life love of racing. Fast 8 also stars Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Kurt Russell, Elsa Pataky, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jason Statham, and Scott Eastwood.
   The Film is Directed by F. Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton). From Universal Pictures, It’s Rated PG-13
  And Hold Up wait a minute, SMURFS The Lost Village is here and opens in wide release ion or around April 7th.
   Smurfs is a fully animated, all-new take on the Smurfs, a mysterious map sets Smurfette and her best friends Brainy, Clumsy and Hefty on an exciting and thrilling race through the Forbidden Forest filled with magical creatures to find a mysterious lost village before the evil wizard Gargamel does. Embarking on a roller coaster journey full of action and danger, the Smurfs are on a course that leads to the discovery of the biggest secret in Smurf history!
Get ready to load all the kids up and head for a great time with the latest SMURFS movie. Rated PG from SONY Pictures.
