Got just the trick, how about a delicious and somewhat healthy Pumpkin Smoothie? Your going to be amazed as to how simple it’s going to be to make. You’ll need half a cup of Pumpkin Puree per smoothie along with a quarter cup of Greek yogurt (vanilla or plain), combine them both with a Quarter Cup of Milk (soy or real whole), half of a brown spotted Banana, 1 teaspoon of Pumpkin Spice found at any grocery store, 1 teaspoon of maple syrup. Throw in a handful of ice cubes or crushed ice and then blend it all for about a minute. If it comes out to thick, just throw it back in the blender, add a little more milk and give in another 15 second blend. Viola, your are ready to drink. Still not hearty enough for you? Got just the solution for that to, put it all back in the blender. Take have a Red Apple, chop it up into cubes and throw it in along with a quarter cup of rolled oats. Blend it all up again for another 30 seconds and now you have a hearty and healthy Pumpkin Apple Spice Smoothie. You want to make your own Pumpkin Puree for use in pies and other recipes? Here’s how; 1st Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Cut the pumpkin in half, stem to base. Remove seeds and pulp. Cover each half with foil. 2nd Bake in the preheated oven, foil side up until tender. Last, Scrape pumpkin meat from shell halves and puree in a blender. Strain to remove any remaining stringy pieces and your done. Pumpkin Puree ready to use. This the season to be jolly.
