Picture
As a child he was Epileptic and had uncontrollable seizures.
His father was a pianist and his mother was a jazz singer in a club.
Hard to believe but following in hes parents footsteps he wrote his first on his dad’s piano at the early age of seven.
He had a hard early life with his parents divorcing when he was only ten years old. His mom remarried but the young man had a difficult relationship with his new stepfather. That led to him moving back in with his real father which proved to be a blessing when is old man bought him his first guitar.
As things would go, soon after that his father, for what ever the reason, kicked him out and so this young man moved into his neighbors basement.
Once, his cousin, also a musician, asked him to play on an album. It was that moment that convinced him to pursue his own musical ambitions. He made a Demo Tape but couldn’t seem to get anyone to listen to it. So he went back to the start and recorded a new one which finally caught someone’s ear and got some much needed and deserved attention.
Just turned seventeen and still living in his neighbors basement he landed a deal with Warner Brothers Records. This kid has some huevos, even with no professional experience he demanded to be allowed to produce his own first album.
The executives at the Record Company were hesitant to give full control to such a young person but they finally gave in. So this young man set out to prove them all wrong. He decided to play every single instrument on his first album. Before he was done he played all  27 instruments to get it done.
His Debut Album went Platinum and the rest is history.
The young man later became know as the Artist formerly know as Prince.
Just goes to show, if you try and try again eventually you can get it done yourself. Just Another Point of View.
