Great time to duck into a theater with all the fun, great movies coming out. Just out and starting of to an unusually slow start on it’s Opening Friday at only $38 Million is the much awaited Justice League. Don’t believe all the garbage you hear from the Movie Critics that are bashing this flick, it’s good. If your a Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and The Flash fan... you’re going to like this movie. As you already know, in the beginning, Superman is dead, Batman thinks he is responsible and a great threat is here to crush humanity. Bruce Wayne is trying to find a group of gifted and talented super friends to help him fight this world threat and sit back for the spectacular ride. The Critic Bashing is HOG WASH. Take yourself into the theater and have a Good Time as you dive into Justice League. It’s Rated PG and almost 2 Hours Long but never once felt the story was lagging. From Warner Bros. Pictures. Next, an Inspirational Move for us all. A film that makes us realize that at some point in our lives we realize our looks have little if nothing to do with who we are inside. It has been a while since the face and abilities of Jackie Chan had graced the big screen but even though he is a little older and a little wiser, make no mistake about it, Jackie Chan is still the viable actor he was back then. His new movies is called The Foreigner and and set and filmed primarily in The U.K.
The Foreigner is a film about a single dad bringing up his only daughter who is in High School now and getting ready for that big school dance towards the end of the year. Chan who play’s the single parent is running late to get home and give his little girl a ride to the dress store for her fitting. They get in his car and they’re off to he store where He will drop her off and her friends will friends will bring he back home. Just after dropping her off as he’s pulling away something goes horribly wrong as a terrorist bomb goes off in the dress store and demolishes the whole building. Chan jumps out of his car and rushes into the ruins to find his daughter. At this point I’ve already told you too much. The movie continues with Chan, a London businessman named Quan who also happens to be a retired military special ops guy, trying to locate the terrorist responsible for the bombing. The film is Rated R, it is an Action & Adventure,Drama,Mystery & Suspense Movie and is already showing at a theater near you. Enjoy. Also just hitting theaters near you. Madea is back in “Boo 2”. This time around the movie is called American Made and follows pretty much the same script except this time the war is in Mexico instead of Vietnam. Out of the Box and Huge at the Box Office with a 1st weekend total of over $100 Million is Spriderman Homecoming. Just the right mix of action and adventure and Robert Downy Jr’s humor makes this film a must see for young and seasoned Spiderman fan’s alike. That along with a surprise bad guy whom I’m sure you’ll recognize for and early Batman movie make this film one of the best summer movies yet but there are still a lot of great movies to come. Doing well at the Box Office is War For The Planet O The Apes even though it is Not Recommended for kids due to the Violence. Have to say that I was totally surprised that The Mummy was as not as gig of a Box Office Hit as I thought it would be. I think many critics panned for all the wrong reasons. I personally saw the film and thought it was great even though somewhat predictable at the end. The fact that Tom Cruise took over the lead that had long been held by Brendan Fraser might have had something to do with it as well but I thought he did a great job. Don’t let the Bad Reviews keep you from stop seeing this movie. “Nick Morton is a soldier of fortune who plunders ancient sites for timeless artifacts and sells them to the highest bidder. When Nick and his partner come under attack in the Middle East, the ensuing battle accidentally unearths Ahmanet, a betrayed Egyptian princess who was entombed under the desert for thousands of years. With her powers constantly evolving, Morton must now stop the resurrected monster as she embarks on a furious rampage through the streets of London.” From: Universal Pictures, Rated: PG13 Runs: 120 Minutes Pirates of The Caribbean, Dead Men Tell No Tales with Johnny Depp didn’t do as great with the critics as well but again, I saw it and I thought it was good. Typical Pirates Movie but the story line was solid and the film moved right along. “Thrust into an all-new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Capt. Time to take a Time Out and head for the theater as the Pre-Summer moviews just keep on coming. Just opening up At The Movies is the movie we've all been waiting for for several years with one of my favorites, Rocket Raccoon. Yup, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 (PG-13) The adventures continue as the team struggles to keep its newfound family together while it tires to unravel the mystery of Peter Quill's true parentage in the outer reaches of the galaxy. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is like listening to your favorite Fleetwood Mac song, while traversing a rainbow on a unicorn that fires glitter...well you know. The sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy is currently in theaters in what seems to be everywhere but the US, which releases on May 5. As you may have heard, the film has five post-credit sequences giving you some insight from the comic books, so we can get a better understanding of what's going on. No, I'm not breaking those down here and now, you'll just have to watch for yourself. And then there is Selma Hayek and Raquel Welch in How to Be a Latin Lover ! Maximo (Eugenio Derbez) gets the surprise of his life when his wealthy, 80-year-old wife dumps him for a younger car salesman. Forced out of his mansion, he must now move in with his estranged sister Sara (Salma Hayek) and her nerdy but adorable son Hugo (Raphael Alejandro). Anxious to return to the lap of luxury, Maximo hatches a scheme to seduce a widowed billionaire (Raquel Welch) and live the high life once again. Eugenio Derbez, who designed the vehicle as a showcase for his comedic gifts. He is a huge celebrity in Mexico and has a considerable following north of the border. His last headlining film, 2013’s “Instructions Not Included,” became the highest-grossing Spanish-language movie ever released in the States. The long awaited Avengers in theaters now but in it’s opening weekend failed to know out the picture that’s Number 1 at the Box Office, Disney’s Beauty and The Beast. The beast easily retained the Top slot with a take of $88.3 Million to Power Rangers take of only $40.5 Million.
Even though critics reviews for Power Rangers were Luke warm most viewers exiting the theaters age the movie an “A”. Not surprising since it was targeted on people who were big on The Power Rangers Brand and it’s Nostalgia. The story plot, by John Gatins, starts with a flamboyant subtitled alien-language introducing you to the ancient clash between Zordon, the benevolent leader of the Power Rangers, and Rita Repulsa, an evil enchantress bent on Earth’s destruction. With mid April comes The Fate of The Fast and The Furious. The latest installment of the Fast and the Furious franchise welcomes two Oscar-winning actresses: Charlize Theron plays Cipher, the latest villain to torment Dominic Toretto and his crew. Helen Mirren joins the cast after publicly lobbying for a role to sate her real-life love of racing. Are you ready for another KONG,? Ready or not the latest KING KONG; Skull Island. In this latest version, Director Jordan Vogt-Roberts. In the cast you’ll find, Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L.
