COVID-19

The reports just keep coming in every day. The numbers of new infections with Covid 19 keep going up as Texas like many other states at the direction of our president and their governors have decided to re-open after a quarantine that had all but stopped the Coronavirus in it’s tracks.
So now what do we do. Some cities are already starting to scale back on their re-openings and many states are wondering if they’ve done the right thing but signals are mixed. Many retailers have announced that you no longer have to wear your masks in their stores or businesses and that they have increased capacity to 75%.
Everywhere we look, there are people gathering in droves and no one seems to be keeping their social distancing anymore. So what do we do?
In San Antonio, at least, the Metro Health director and the mayor are pleading with area residents to wear face coverings when social distancing is not possible and if you’re in a high-risk category, stay home as much as possible. All this as the number of hospitalized patients continues to climb.
Yes, we all have a personal responsibility to make our own educated decision as to if, we want to go out, how much, and how much we want to risk putting ourselves at exposure to this pandemic?
Do we decide to keep wearing that mask or not?
The real issue is not your choice it is that if your one of those people that just aren’t for being told what to do, if you make the wrong choice and expose yourself how great is the possibility that you unknowingly may expose some unsuspecting person as well?
What if that does happen and that other person or persons you infected by your wrong choice happen to die? So you see, if it was only your life you were putting in danger that would be ok but that’s not the case.
I have a trip planned for Las Vegas in August but am still a little concerned that a second wave may put and end to it. I’m just as concerned about getting on a plane, side by side others and having to wear that dang mask for several hours until we reach our destination.
It’s obvious, for now all we can do is try to make the best choices as much as possible. Keep washing our hands often. Keep wearing that crazy mask out in public with others and keep social distancing as best we can.
As for us, we’re going to try to stay home a little bit more again and only go out when absolutely necessary. We only have one life and we should try to do everything we can to protect ours and that of others. Be Safe and GOD Speed.
Just Another Point of View.
