A partnership that started back in 1967 Elton John and Bernie Taupin have collaborated on more than 30 albums to date.
Elton John has sold more than 300 million records, making him one of the best-selling music artist in the world. Our featured artist of the month Sir Elton John has received six Grammy Awards,and five British Awards,an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award,a Tony Award and a Disney Legend Award. Rolling Stone has ranked Elton John at #49 on its list of 100 influential musicians of the rock n roll era, in 2013 Billboard ranked him the most successful male solo artist. He has been heavily involved in the fight against AIDS since the late 1980's. In 1992 he established the Elton John AIDS Foundation. The foundation has raised over $200 million. Music-wise it was Elton John's second single that opened the door for him in the U.S. the single "Your Song" reached #7 in the U.K. and #8 in the U.S.,becoming his first hit single. His first American concert took place at the Troubadour in Los Angeles in August 1970.
