There is no easy way to even start to talk about the King of Rock 'N' Roll. Elvis Presley is a world wide star in the field of music, so instead of repeating the same stories about him, we are going to talk about some of his other accomplishments as well as records that he has set.
As artist of the month this January here are some of Elvis' most noted facts and this why he is still the KING of Rock 'N' Roll. Elvis had a #1 album in 2002, 25 years after he died.Nobody else has had a #1 album after his or her death. His last #1 album in his lifetime was Aloha from Hawaii via satellite, which topped the charts in May of 1973. It displaced Pink Floyds The Dark Side Of The Moon. Elvis died with about $5,000,000 in his bank account, his commemorative
postage stamp issued in 1993, sold more copies than any other postage stamp in the U.S. postal service history at 29 cents. His only 2 concerts outside the United States were in Canada. In 1975 he purchased a poor black woman an electric wheelchair and picked her up and sat her in it, the daughter of the woman told Elvis that she liked his car. He gave her the car and also gave her boyfriend a job. At one time Elvis also held the world record for indoor attendance for a concert in 1976, there were 62,500 people at the show, with another record for takings in a single show for the amount of $850,000.
