The only group to have hits before, during, and after the british invasion. The Four Seasons have stood their ground. Like in the early years of any group or performer, it is a period when nothing becomes a hit or your music just doesn't appeal to anyone but in 1956 when they were known as the Four Lovers, Joe Pesci (the movie actor) introduced Franki Valli to Bob Gaudio, which at the time changed their name to the Four Seasons.
In their nearly 40 year career the Four Seasons have sold over 100 million records making them the most long-lived and successful white-doo-wop group. The Four Seasons have gone through numerous personnel changes over the years but the essence of the group has remained with lead vocalist Franki Valli and songwriter/manager Bob Gaudio Valli. Gaudio owns the master tapes of all the group's recordings, the rights to use the musical group name "The Four Seasons" and also owns the right's to the music and lyrics of all the Four Seasons song. These properties have generated millions of dollars in revenue for Valli and Gaudio joint enterprise. Where people sometimes think that old 50's and 60's music is only for the baby boomers, Re-issues of Four Seasons recordings enjoy steady sales with many purchases being made by people who weren't even alive during the groups hey-day.
