   Coming up on friday July the 10th from 10:30 A.M. to 12:00 noon."The Little Red Rooster Show" will feature the artist's of the month,"The Three Dog Night". They were an american band that was formed back in 1967 by vocalists Danny Hutton,Cory Wells,and Chuck Negron.the "Three Dog Night "became one of the most successful bands in the U.S. during the late 1960's and early 1970's.They have earned 12 gold albums and recorded 21 consecutive Billboard Top 40 hits.Seven of them going gold.Dunhill Records has claimed that 40 million record albums were sold by the band during their time period.
   As band members wrote only a handfull of songs on the albums,most songs Three Dog Night recorded were written by outside song writers,most notable hit covers include the original Harry Nilsson"s "One",which was a top 5 record,James Radio original "Easy to be hard",at #14,from the movie musical "HAIR".
   Laura Nyro's "Eli's Coming",at #10,also Randy Newman's "Mama told me not to come",at #1,Paul William's "Out in the country",at #15,and also at #4 "An old fashion love song. Hoyt Axton's "Joy to the world",at #1,and at #15"Never been to Spain.A new studio album the groups first in 24 years is being recorded during breaks from touring,they have not recorded a full album since 1976 "s" American Pastime".
