I had read some bad reviews about J Lo’s performance in Hustlers so I waited to see it for myself. Even though the movie is in no way Family Friendly, I mean, after all it’s about strippers in a club where cash rules and sex, drugs and alcohol fly freely. All that aside the movies has it’s own merits as it spins the story about a crew of savvy former strip club employees who band together to turn the tables on their Wall Street clients.
Personally I though J-Lo is looking a little long in the tooth but then again she is 50. Her vigorous tour schedule is noticeably taking it’s tole on her facial features but she is still stunning none the less and at the peak of good health. Not being the typical J-Lo style movie I can see why some would question her performance but I found it to be as credible as any. From STXfilms; “Working as a stripper to make ends meet, Destiny’s life changes forever when she becomes friends with Ramona the club’s top money earner. Ramona soon shows Destiny how to finagle her way around the wealthy Wall Street clientele who frequent the club.” Hustlers is Rated: R and Runs: 107 Minutes. Coming this October 18th from Walt Disney Pictures, Angelina Jolie is back as Maleficent. “Five years after the first film, Maleficent’s peaceful life in the Moors takes an unexpected turn when Prince Phillip proposes to Aurora and she accepts. Unbeknownst to all, Phillip’s mother, Queen Ingrith of Ulstead, plans to use the wedding to divide humans and fairies forever. With Maleficent and Aurora finding themselves on opposite sides of an impending war, the two question whether they can truly be a family. This film is Not yet Rated and No Run Time is available yet. That’s a wrap for this time so duck into the nearest theater near you soon as you cause there is a whole new world and adventure waiting for you At The Movies. |
