Summer is here and we are already in to the blockbuster movie season so, let’s run down the Box Office recently for some of the current movies out for the last weeks in June.
Topping the Box Office at at Number ONE is Men In Black International at $30.1 Million, coming in at Number TWO is The Secret Life of Pets 2 at $24.4 Million, rounding the bend with $14.4 Million is Aladin at a respectable Number THREE. Bringing up the rear but still hanging in there at a whopping $9.4 Million we have a tie between Rocketman and Dark Phoenix locked in at Number FOUR and last but certainly not least in the Number FIVE position Shaft with $8.9 Million. All still worth taking a look see at if you haven’t already done so. Recently hitting the Big Screen are Toy Story 4, Child’s Play and Anna. Toy Story 4 from Pixar, Walt Disney Pictures, “Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the gang embark on a road trip with Bonnie and a new toy named Forky. The adventurous journey turns into an unexpected reunion as Woody’s slight detour leads him to his long-lost friend Bo Peep. As Woody and Bo discuss the old days, they soon start to realize that they’re worlds apart when it comes to what they want from life as a toy.” Run Time: 90 Minutes Child’s Play, Rated R from Orion Pictures, Katz Smith Productions and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer,“After moving to a new city, young Andy Barclay receives a special present from his mother -- a seemingly innocent Buddi doll that becomes his best friend. When the doll suddenly takes on a life of its own, Andy unites with other neighborhood children to stop the sinister toy from wreaking bloody havoc.” Run Time: 90 Minutes Then there’s Anna from Summit Entertainment and Rated R, “Beneath a woman’s striking beauty lies a secret that will unleash her indelible strength and skill to become one of the most feared assassins on the planet.” Run Time: 118 Minutes It is certainly a great summer and a great time to get out of the heat and into a new adventure At The Movies. |
