As we go from a rather mild winter for most of us to what’s sure to be a hot summer the movies at local theaters are heating us as well. So why not, no time like the present to go to the movies.
Now Showing; From 20th Century Fox, get ready to see Harrison Ford in a whole new light in Call of The Wild. “Buck is a big-hearted dog whose blissful domestic life gets turned upside down when he is suddenly uprooted from his California home and transplanted to the exotic wilds of the Alaskan Yukon in the 1890s. As the newest rookie on a mail-delivery dog sled team, Buck experiences the adventure of a lifetime as he ultimately finds his true place in the world.” Call of The Wild is Rated R and Runs 110 minutes. Don’t look now but from Universal Pictures it’s The Invisible Man. “An upcoming horror film written and directed by Leigh Whannell. The film is a modern reimagining of both the novel of the same name by H. G. Wells and the 1933 film adaptation of the same name. It stars Elisabeth Moss, Aldis Hodge, Storm Reid, Harriet Dyer, and Oliver Jackson-Cohen.” The Invisible Man is Rated R and Runs 1:50 min From Disney/Pixar take the kids to see Onward. “Two teenage elf brothers, Ian and Barley Lightfoot, go on an journey to discover if there is still a little magic left out there in order to spend one last day with their father, who died when they were too young to remember him.” The kids may not recognize all the actors who lend their voices to this film but you just might. Tom Holland, Chris Pratt, Julia Louis Dreyfus and Octavia Spencer. Onward is not yet rated. Still hanging in there from Paramount Pictures is Sonic The Hedgehog. “Sonic tries to navigate the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound best friend -- a human named Tom Wachowski. They must soon join forces to prevent the evil Dr. Robotnik from capturing Sonic and using his powers for world domination.” Rated PG and Runs 1:40 mins Get away from a rough day, any day, and sneak into a whole new adventure At The Movies. |
