We’re off into the new year and the great movies continue to hit our theaters all across the country.
The latest movies in theaters are still doing very well at the Box Office. Among them “Little Women” who did an opening Box Office of $13. 7 Million Dollars. From Sony Pictures, “In the years after the Civil War, Jo March lives in New York and makes her living as a writer, while her sister Amy studies painting in Paris. Amy has a chance encounter with Theodore, a childhood crush who proposed to Jo but was ultimately rejected. Their oldest sibling, Meg, is married to a schoolteacher, while shy sister Beth develops a devastating illness that brings the family back together.” Hello. Is anybody still with me after all that explaining. As tricky as the explanation of the movie may be the film fared well and remains strong in theaters where it’s still playing. Rated: PG the film is aa bit long in nthe tooth running 2 Hours 15 minutes. Mid January, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was still holding strong at $34.5 Million Dollars. Not a huge surprise at all. From Paramount Pictures it’s Like a Boss. “Best friends Mia and Mel run their own cosmetics company -- a business they built from the ground up. But they’re also in over their heads financially, and the prospect of a buyout offer from an industry titan proves too tempting to pass up. The beauty business is now about to get ugly as the proposal puts Mia and Mel’s lifelong friendship to the ultimate test.” Like a Boss is Rated: R and Runs: 83 minutes. From Warner Bros. Pictures the movie Just Mercy is at theaters now. “After graduating from Harvard, Bryan Stevenson heads to Alabama to defend those wrongly condemned or those not afforded proper representation. One of his first cases is that of Walter McMillian, who is sentenced to die in 1987 for the murder of an 18-year-old girl, despite evidence proving his innocence. In the years that follow, Stevenson encounters racism and legal and political maneuverings as he tirelessly fights for McMillian’s life.” Just Mercy is Rated: PG-13 and Runs: 136 minutes. Duck into and get lost in a brand new adventure at a theater near you and have a great time At The Movies. |
