So my birthday was approaching and I lucked out. A friend of mine has a production company that needed some stock video of Las Vegas and they offered me the gig. It didn’t pay much but all bills were paid. Airfare, hotel and meals. Now that’s what I call a Birthday gift.
I took the gig and jumped on Southwest to Sin City USA. If you’ve ever been to Las Vegas you know that the scenery changes about every two years. Since I hadn’t been in about eight years I expected to see many changes and I was not disappointed. It was a little cool for this time of year as far as I’m concerned. When you went outside, it was cool in the shade but when you started walking in the sun you started sweating and got hot. Other than that it was a great visit as you’ll see in the photos i took. Vegas was true to itself with new changes already in the works for two years from now in the way of the new Alon already being built. Even if your not a gambler, Vegas is a great place to go get away from it all with great places to eat and great shows to see and lots of sight seeing to do. If you have never been to Las Vegas you should check it out. It cost me Under $300 on Southwest vacations to fly from San Antonio and that included Hotel and Air. While I was there I played a 25 cent slot machine and won over $200. So I was happy about that too. The thing to remember is not get caught up in your winning cause there is a lot of loosing going on to. Don’t want to get on the wrong side of that. Soon the weather will start warming up a bit and a trip to Las Vegas will be even better. Be prepared to walk a lot and just for your info you can always get a 2 hour bus pass for $6. An 24 Hour Bus Pass is $8 or a three day pass is around $20. If you stay at a hotel off the strip check to see if the have a shuttle to the strip. Most of them do and they are free. I plan to be back there for another few days in the middle of May and hopefully i’ll see you guys there. Las Vegas a great few day getaway, just a point o view. |
