So are we or aren’t we experiencing the second wave of this so called Pandemic that we’re supposed to be in?
Everyday we hear the numbers of those infected keep growing and the number of those dying from the dreaded COVID 19 infections keeps rising as well and we have to wonder who is actually telling us the truth? The president keeps tell us the reason the numbers of those infected keep growing is merely because the number of those being tested is growing exponentially. If you stop and think, you may be able to understand his reasoning. He ‘s saying that as more people get tested we are bound to see a larger number of those infected. Fact is there may be millions of us walking around that are already infected but don’t show any symptoms and may never become symptomatic at all while others get sick and may even die as a result. This being the case as we test more people we find out that more people are infected. Makes sense. What we have to worry about and be careful with is as we find more and more folks around us are infected, will we be one of the lucky ones that does not get ill from the infection or will we be one of the unlucky ones and get ill or possibly even die. I agree. There are probably millions of us already walking around that have been exposed to the Corona Virus but since we have not been tested we just don’t know it. In spite of that fact, if you are one of these people, you may be a danger to those around you who come into contact with you. You may inadvertently spreading this virus to other folks around you. Therein lies the problem. We each have a personal responsibility to protect ourselves and each other from this potentially deadly disease. Yes there are many that don’t even get ill from it and there are those who get ill but get better and go on BUT there are also those who get ill and may die. So, at least for now, let’s wear our masks, keep our social distance and keep sanitizing and washing our hands often. Let’s try to stay home as much as possible unless we have a super important reason to be out in public. It is so much better to be safe than sorry or dead. Please take care, be safe and GOD Speed. Just Another Point of View. FAT, Sick and Nearly Dead. It’s a documentary that you can watch for free on Youtube.
I ran across it a while back and watched it and it makes a lot of sense. It basically shows us how we are eating all the wrong foods and because of it we just keep putting on the weight and our health deteriorates. FAT, Sick and Nearly Dead is about this guy, Joe Cross, and how he was Fat, Sick and nearly Dead. H sets out to do all this research on how he could turn his health around. This documentary is his trip to premium health for him and it’s help so many others at the same time. In this documentary you’ll see how he found that juicing, at least, for him would be the start to turning things around. He also shows you the exact way he did things and what he drank to start achieving premium health through what he consumed. I totally suggest you watch the entire documentary if your at that point where you’ve tried everything and nothing has worked for you and you’re ready to loose a bunch of weight and start getting healthy. Joe’s awesome juice recipes aren’t a big secret because anyone can find them on you tube and a bunch of other places on the web. That being the case I thought I would share some of my favorites with you, 1st The Mean Green Juice Recipe 1 cucumber, 4 celery stalks, 1 or 2 green apples, 6-8 leaves Kale, 1/2 lemon, 1 tbsp ginger Run everything through the Juicer….Drink and Enjoy. Joe likes to put everything through a juicer which extracts the juice from vegetables and fruit. If your Big like me, I recommend you use something like a Nutri Ninja or a Nutri Bullet which which doesn’t extract the fiber from the juice. This will help you clean out your bowls in the first week or so then, You you prefer to drink the juice alone you can use a juicer instead. So Note; If you start juicing at least twice a day your bowls will start to move and clear and flush start flushing toxins for sure. SO, Be prepared for that. As always you might want to check with you medical professional and ask about juicing before you start it if you think you need to. There are way many more juice recipes to be had on the internet all over. I can tell you that most of them are just variations of the original Mean Green Juice. That being said you can get imaginative and add other fruits and veggies to it to your liking. Best wishes, Happy Healthy Eating! At the movies….here we are again and again we’re still smack in the middle of this crazy pandemic and once again it has us staying away from our favorite movie theaters but with any luck and a little bit of prayer maybe that will change soon enough.
Until then there are many of great movie options stream all over the place you judt have to figure out a way to get them into your home and onto your TV set or smart device. Whether your using an Amazon Firestick or one of the many App’s like Hulu or Disney+ the amount f content available to you is almost limitless. Based on the acclaimed graphic novel by Greg Rucka and directed by Gina Prince. Lots more movies and TV Shows available on any of the great streaming platforms these days so take time out of your busy day or out of that boring quarantine and immerse yourself in a great flick At The Movies at home. The reports just keep coming in every day. The numbers of new infections with Covid 19 keep going up as Texas like many other states at the direction of our president and their governors have decided to re-open after a quarantine that had all but stopped the Coronavirus in it’s tracks.
So now what do we do. Some cities are already starting to scale back on their re-openings and many states are wondering if they’ve done the right thing but signals are mixed. Many retailers have announced that you no longer have to wear your masks in their stores or businesses and that they have increased capacity to 75%. Everywhere we look, there are people gathering in droves and no one seems to be keeping their social distancing anymore. So what do we do? In San Antonio, at least, the Metro Health director and the mayor are pleading with area residents to wear face coverings when social distancing is not possible and if you’re in a high-risk category, stay home as much as possible. All this as the number of hospitalized patients continues to climb. Yes, we all have a personal responsibility to make our own educated decision as to if, we want to go out, how much, and how much we want to risk putting ourselves at exposure to this pandemic? Do we decide to keep wearing that mask or not? The real issue is not your choice it is that if your one of those people that just aren’t for being told what to do, if you make the wrong choice and expose yourself how great is the possibility that you unknowingly may expose some unsuspecting person as well? What if that does happen and that other person or persons you infected by your wrong choice happen to die? So you see, if it was only your life you were putting in danger that would be ok but that’s not the case. I have a trip planned for Las Vegas in August but am still a little concerned that a second wave may put and end to it. I’m just as concerned about getting on a plane, side by side others and having to wear that dang mask for several hours until we reach our destination. It’s obvious, for now all we can do is try to make the best choices as much as possible. Keep washing our hands often. Keep wearing that crazy mask out in public with others and keep social distancing as best we can. As for us, we’re going to try to stay home a little bit more again and only go out when absolutely necessary. We only have one life and we should try to do everything we can to protect ours and that of others. Be Safe and GOD Speed. Just Another Point of View. The weather is Hot and what better than a refreshing Avocado-Corn Salsa.
The great thing about this salsa is that you can eat it alone with chips or you can use it on things like a saute’ed fish, in a quesadilla or over your beans and rice or what about on that plate of huevos rancheros. Yum and so easy to prepare. Here’s what you’ll you’ll need. 1 Medium Avocado, diced. ¾ cup corn. ½ cup grape or cherry tomatoes, 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh Cilantro, ¾ cup diced onion (your choice white, red or vidalia) 2 teaspoons of Lime Juice, tomatoes and Himalayan Seal Salt to taste. If your feeling a little frisky you might want to at some chopped jalapenos to taste. When and if I add Jalapenos I prefer pickled jalapenos like the ones that come in the cans from Mexico with the onions and carrots mixed in. Dang, those are good, even by themselves. Ready? Here we go. Toss All the ingredients, the avocado, corn tomatoes and cilantro with the lime juice and sea salt, etc in a medium bowl. Cool for an hour or longer in the fridge or serve as is. A fresh, summer Avocado-Corn Salsa you’re going to truly enjoy. Now that’s, Happy, Healthy Eating. It would appear that in this age and time of the Global Pandemic local theaters are just now starting to open their doors and then ever very so cautiously.

Who would have ever thought we, of all people, would be walking into the bank to get money with a mask on our face? No matter where we go, thanks to the Coronavirus Pandemic we’ve all become what we can only say, old time bank robber look-a-likes. Is that crazy or what? Sadly enough, at this point we don’t even know of or when the end to this whole thing will be in sight. Worst yet, we are now concerned as to if there could be a whole new type of Pandemic lurking in our near future that may be just as bad if not even more serious that this one we’re in now. If you come to my house these days you’ll find an entire closet full of packages of toilet paper. Why? Because I will never be caught without toilet paper again. I remember when the fear set in and everyone rushed to the grocery stores and wiped out the toilet paper supply making it almost impossible for us to wipe our butts as well. Oh No, I’m never going to go thru that again. We all still live with all that grocery store debacle in the back of our heads and wonder when and if it will happen again at some point so we try to move on. As best we can we try to be as strong as we can be while still being a bit concerned about our future. Winter is not that far away and we wonder if the Coronavirus will make come back and threaten us again while infecting a whole news set of our friends, neighbors and relatives? All we can hope and pray is that we’ve learned enough from this bout to be able to break the chain that allows such a monster to prey on us. Please, stay safe. Keep your social distancing in place and keep wearing your mask around others until the All Clear is sounded, no matter how long that will be. After all, as they say, we’re all in this together. Just another Point of View. Prayers. Go Bless, GOD Speed. Today, thanks to a recipe handed down by one of my favorite chefs, Robert Irvine,
we’ll be baking up a quick and yummy Micro-Wave Cake Cup. So here is what you’ll need for this easy bake: 1 cup almond flour, 4 tbsp cocoa powder, 1 tbsp shredded coconut (or a Mushed Banana), 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp salt ‘8 tbsp sugar, 1 cup milk, ½ cup coconut or canola oil, 3 tbsp mini chocolate chips, 3 tbsp espresso or coffee beans. In a mixing bowl, add the flour, cocoa powder, coconut or banana, baking powder, salt, and sugar. In a separate bowl, add the milk and oil together. Then add liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients. Use a whisk until there are no lumps. Add batter to microwave-safe coffee cups. Fill ¾ of the way to the top. Add 1 tbsp of chocolate chips and 1 tbsp espresso or coffee beans to each coffee cup and stir in. Place one coffee cup at a time into the microwave and cook on high for 1 minute and 20 seconds. Dip a knife or spoon into the center of the cup to make sure the batter is cooked through. If part of the cake is still uncooked, add cook time, 20 seconds at a time, until cooked through. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired. Hope you’re going to love these as much as I do. The recipe is thanks to Chef Robert Irvine, Yes, the same Robert Irvine that can be seen on Restaurant Impossible on the Food Network. Check him out when you get a chance and Happy, Healthy Eating ! Pandemic be Damned, the theaters are still all but shut down.

They say the greatest gift GOD gave to man was the ability to choose.
What people seem to forget all the time is that even though we are free to choose We Are Not Free from the consequences of our choices. In fact, I saw an article in the Business Insider recently that said; “Coronavirus didn’t bring the economy down — 40 years of greed and corporate malfeasance did”. So we have to wonder, all these things that are upon us now like this Pandemic, Th Swarms of Locusts in Africa, the destruction of the Amazon Rain Forest, the disappearing Polar Ice Caps, etc, etc, could this be a result of our own making. Could it be GOD’s way of telling us, Enough is Enough Already. You guys have to straighten up. Beyond all that, have we learned our lesson? After this Pandemic starts to clear will it be back to Greed and Malfeasance all over again until next time GOD decides we need another reminder? When and if that comes how many people will have to suffer and even die then before we even start to get the hint? We must start to change before we end up like Sodom and Gomorrah. It is certainly a scary time. I hope and pray that it all teaches us a lesson. That we learn from the situation and realize we need to be better prepared for something like this when and if it comes again. Have you got that BIG Stimulus Check Yet. Funny, you know as soon as people get it, no matter what bills they have to pay It Will Be Christmas for sure. They’ll be out buying electronics, jewelry, taking trips, etc. Sadly, another month or two like this and many Mom and Pop, Family Businesses will be D.O.A. and it will take quite some time before they can even try to make a come back, or not. Most places like that run on a week to week, month to month existence and this Pandemic is killing them, literally. If they have any employees they were the first to loose their jobs and the family suffered next. With any luck many of them will be able to put some of their Stimulus Check and / or maybe even get one of those small business loans that the government says are available to restart their small restaurant or retail business. Just Another Point of View. |
